One More Bite Summer Sailfish Challenge
Tournament Rules: 

The Sailfish Challenge is an IGFA format tournament, and as such, IGFA rules apply.

1.Lines-in 8 A.M – Lines-Out 3:00pm Boats may

2.depart/return from Ft. Pierce, St. Lucie, or Jupiter inlets

3.There are Four Divisions with separate prizes within the Summer Sailfish Summer Series
3.1. Flats/Bay Boat Division is limited to factory models 27’ and smaller
3.2. Open Division is for all other boats non-Flats/Bay boats
3.3. An overall in releases between both divisions
3.4 All boat size are eligible to weigh Tuna, Dolphin and Kingfish for meat divisions

4. Tournament Approved In-Line Circle Hooks Only – Single Hook Rigs Only

5. Maximum of 6 lines in the water at any point, including while catching bait
5.1 Boats can kite fish, bump troll, dead bait or any other methods
5.2. All fish no matter how caught are scored the same

6. No live chumming

7. Boats are required to be back inside the inlet by 4pm

8. Tournament Channel is VHF Channel 80; Alternate Channel is 74

9. Winner determined by Total Points by Time

10. Sailfish releases will be awarded 100 points for a successful release. Any Sailfish mutilated prior to or during the release will be deemed ineligible and no points awarded
10.1. Additional 25 points for successfully tagged Sailfish, which much be seen in the video

11. Release is official when Swivel or Leader Knot touches the rod tip and/or leader is touched

12. Each release must be called in to the Tournament Committee immediately by VHF radio (cell phone may be used as a backup)
12.1. Boat Name, Angler’s Name, and whether tagged or not
12.2. Release will be acknowledged by Tournament Committee with an assigned catch number and official time of release
12.3. Any phoned-in releases will be relayed back across the VHF Radio

13. Boats are required to VIDEO all Sailfish releases (No Observers)

14. Video must include Species ID, Release, and Daily Confirmation ID in continuous segment
14.1. If the Sailfish was tagged, this must appear in the continuous video as well

15. Video must be submitted by an authorized representative of the boat, along with Daily Catch Log that must be signed by the Captain

16. All hookups & fish being fought 15 minutes prior to “Lines-Out” must be called in to the Tournament Committee

17.The Tournament Weigh Station at Sailfish Marina of Stuart opens at 1pm and will close at 4pm
17.1 Any boat “in-line” for the weigh station by 4pm will have their fish weighed and eligible for awards
17.2 To be considered “in-line” for the weigh station, the boat must be within eyesight and verbally checked in with the Tournament Committee Boat via VHF

18. All sailfish must be released in tournament series
